My Queer Doula
Providing personal and professional full spectrum Virtual Doula Support.
I am a queer neuroatypical Doula providing emotional, educational and physical support during pregnancy, labor and beyond. Whether you’re interested in a birthing class, labor support, postpartum support, or breastfeeding advice, I’m here for you 24/7 anywhere in the world.
NOW offering "Help! WTF will I cook!" for those times when you don't know what to cook with what's on hand. This can be especially helpful when it's hard to get all the groceries you may want and you want to use what's on hand.
Why choose a Virtual Doula?
Virtual doulas provide support via Texts, Calls, Emails, and Video. They support you in much the same way as in-person doulas, but with some differences. These differences can be of great benefit if they meet your needs!
Benefits of choosing virtual doula support include:
Certainty - No need to make a last minute change of plans in case of emergency or pandemic surge. It can be very emotionally trying to have to change plans last minute. In-person doula support has a greater risk of this by its nature as, even without a pandemic, there is always the risk that your doula may have a conflict, illness, injury, or other emergency. With a virtual doula, the likelihood of such an event causing your doula to be unable to help is drastically decreased. As long as your doula has their phone and you have your phone, you will be able to communicate and be supported.
Greater accessibility - With virtual support you can be supported even if you’re in a remote location where there are few or no doulas. Virtual support may be a better fit for some disabled people. Or if you want a doula that you can identify with and there aren’t any local doulas who fit the bill, going virtual means that you can pick any doula you like regardless of location.
Empowerment - When you have virtual support, you often feel more empowered. You and your partner(s) or support person/people are likely to feel closer, as the physical support is provided by the person/people you most want to be supporting you with coaching from your doula. You can feel a great sense of accomplishment as you KNOW that you’ve done this yourself/yourselves.

Louise worked with my family after the birth of my second child. She immediately bonded with my first, who was always very cautious around people unfamiliar to her, and was also a great support to me as I adjusted to life with two kids. Outside of the kids, Louise helped with laundry and cooking, and joined me on trips to the grocery store. We had family coming in and out of town early on, but had no family close by, so having the help that Louise provided was essential. My postpartum experience was so much more relaxed as a result of the time we had with her. We booked her for about 6 weeks total, but spaced it out over the course of a few months. Highly recommend.
